Le Village Des Alpes - Bellegarde, Rhone Alps Factory Outlet
The Le Village des Alpes Factory Outlet Bellegarde will comprise of 32,000sq m of Factory Outlet Shopping on a single level within 30 minutes of Geneva and 60 minutes of Lyon. The scheme itself is designed by S&P Architects and will incorporate not only the Factory Outlet concept but also will carry the Alpine theme with the benefit of a tourism office, ski rental and sports facilities including a climbing wall, a mountain bike trail and public auditorium.
The site itself is 32 hectares and is capable of providing a Factory Outlet Centre of lettable space of 25,000 m with over 2,500 parking spaces. In addition to this there will be landscaped play areas, restaurants and cafe and around 130 stores overall.
A planning agreement was signed with the local council (Bellegarde) in April 2006 with the full planning application (CEDC) presented in May 2006. The CEDC decision received 3 positive votes and 3 abstentions. The project is being presented to CNEC in Paris in November 2007.
We hope to be on site by Easter 2008 with the first phase opening in Summer 2009.
